TIPS WHEN CALLING POLICE, FIRE, OR RESCUE
Report any crime or suspicious activities to
law enforcement. Call 911 if you need to
report a situation that threatens human life
or property and requires immediate
dispatch of police, fire, or emergency
medical services, such as a crime in
progress, a serious crime that has just
occurred, a fire, a seriousness illness or an
injury.

How to Make a 9-1-1 Call
        When the dispatcher answers,
remain calm and speak clearly.
        Describe your emergency, and state
your phone number and the address where
you need help.
        Do not hang up until the dispatcher
tells you to unless it is not safe for you to
stay on the telephone. If you call 9-1-1 by
mistake, tell the dispatcher what happened.

Questions Dispatcher will ask
        Briefly describe: sex and race, age,
height, weight, hair color, clothing,
distinctive characteristics such as a beard,
mustache, scars, accent, tattoos, glasses,
smell, or mannerism
        Describe if person(s) left on foot,
bicycle, or vehicle: color, make, model
year, license plate, and special features
such as stickers.
        Direction of travel

When reporting any non-emergency
situation call 385-5000.
